They have a deep understanding of various local codes and city procedures. They make sure that local and State building rules are followed in the areas they work in. They also build strong relationships with the community and with the Planning, Code Enforcement, and Public Works departments. RKA's Building Inspectors are committed to providing efficient, polite, and precise enforcement of building standards for accessibility, grading, construction, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing projects.

Responsibilities include:
  • Building Inspection: Visiting construction sites at various phases to ensure work complies with code standards.
  • Resident Satisfaction: Resolving any resident concerns about building standards and safety.
  • Permitting Process: Granting permits for construction and demolition activities.
  • Record Keeping: Accurate records and documentation related to inspections and construction permits
  • Materials: Producing materials such as checklists, guides, and brochures, to educate and help the residents and contractors.

RKA's innovative approach of cross-training its Building & Safety and Certified Plan Review staff enhances operational efficiency and lowers costs.
